How can i set my slap watch?

i bought a slap watch the other day at a surf shop at the boardwalk, and cant figure out how to set it, i've gone on the web site and they said to pull out a tabb on the side...i dont have a tab. ahah. okay, well if someone could help that'd be great. thanks!!
