How do i disconnect the quick connect fitting on the fuel filter for my 2003 chevrolet cavalier?

There is a fitting that has a green clip that flips open to reveal more of the fuel filter and two green tabs on either side of the filter end. I have no idea how to get this undone. I am stuck. Please help!
